No.  Membership registration in ADflakes is optional but there are benefits for being a registered member.

Here is the list of the benefits that you can get as a registered member of ADflakes:

• You can publish advertisements and messages instantly without e-mail confirmation
• You can manage your advertisement bookmarks.  You can also bookmark advertisements without posting a message into that advertisement.
• You can maintain a list of contacts
• You can view the list of your private messages
• You can manage your advertisements easily through your member page without needing to look for your Ads Management link in your e-mails
• You can update your profile anytime and same information will be automatically included in all your advertisement posts
• You can customize your homepage
• You can join discussions in the forum
• You can choose an easy to remember username that will also be used as your homepage URL
• You can include Meebo or Plugoo chat widgets into your contact details and chat widgets will be automatically displayed in your homepage and in all of your advertisements
  

There are 2 ways to bookmark an advertisement:

1. when you post a message for the advertisement, you have the options to bookmark the advertisement or not through a checkbox
2. for logged in members, you can click "Bookmark" in Ads Menu located at the advertisement page
   

Plugoo and Meebo are both 3rd party chat widgets that you can use to chat with other users using the account of your favorite chat client like Yahoo! Messenger.  ADflakes allow registered members to add their Plugoo and Meebo codes into their respective ADflakes pages so that other users can chat with them using any of these widgets.

First of all, you must have either a Plugoo or a Meebo (you also need to check Meebome) account.  Login to your ADflakes member account and click "Update My Profile" in Member Menu at the left column.  Specify your Chat Widget URL according to the service that you want to use (check the footnote at the field for reference).  After placing your Chat Widget URL and updating your profile, your chat widget will start to appear in your ADflakes homepage and in all of your posted advertisements.

You must be a logged in member before you can save a user in your contact list.  In the advertisement page, find the Contact Details part and click "Add in My Contacts" in Member Menu.  You can also visit the homepage of the user by clicking on its username or avatar, and then clicking "Add User in My Contacts" at the User Details block at the left column.

You must be a logged in member to customize your homepage.  Click "Customize My Homepage" in Member Menu at the left column.  You can customize the title of your homepage and also the introduction part and the ending part of your homepage.  You will be using a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor for easy formatting of your content.

No.  The user authentication for the main website and the forum is already integrated.  When you login to the main website, you will also be logged in automatically in the forum.
